Browser extension

After installation, speaker attribution is off until you enable it in the extension popup. You can turn it off from the same popup. When it is on, the extension can observe supported meeting pages even before live audio capture starts. Select the intended meeting source in tday before relying on its labels.

The control records the extension user's choice. It does not collect permission from everyone else in the meeting. Follow your organisation's notice and consent requirements before using transcription or speaker attribution.

Mac companion availability

The optional companion requires macOS 15 or later. Availability and installation are managed by tday during this release. Contact support to confirm current availability for your workspace, and do not install a copy from an unofficial source.

The Mac app asks separately before mixing whole-Mac audio with your microphone. Native Zoom and Teams speaker attribution has a different control. After signing in and approving the desktop session, choose Enable Native Speaker Names in the menu-bar app and grant macOS Accessibility access. While it remains on, the tday helper checks the visible Zoom and Teams Accessibility interface twice per second, even if audio capture, Live Notes, or the overlay is off.

Choose Turn Off Native Speaker Names in the menu-bar app to block new live native signals immediately and clear current live native sources. The app asks the helper to exit and shows Turning Off until exit or close is confirmed. It shows Stop Failed if the stop request reports an error. If Stop Failed appears, quit tday and revoke Accessibility in System Settings before continuing. Turning native speaker names off does not turn off the browser extension, revoke macOS Accessibility permission, or remove names already applied to transcript segments, rolling notes, or saved notes.
